What is a Christian? Can you tell me what it means to be one? Even better, can you show me?
These are neither the easiest questions to answer, nor are any of us perfect in our demonstration of Christ. Notwithstanding, these questions deserve and demand our attention—our full attention.
My life proclaims a message every day. So does yours. The question we should be asking ourselves is, “What is that message?”
If our words and actions belie the character of Christ, maybe we should leave our Christian T-shirts in the closet, get rid of our fish symbols and bumper stickers, and just keep quiet, rather than announce to the world we are “Christians.” It would be less damaging to the reputation of Christ and His church.
